Where are all the Fathers?

This article at "First Things" explains the danger of a culture that casts off all the restraints of tradition. There are a couple paragraphs near the end that gave me goosebumps.

My only addition to this article would be a question: Is the word of God the tradition that we as a culture need to guard us in not only marriage and fatherhood, but with all things in life?
